“She is a woman with courage that has stepped into the void on a lot of these issues and has been brave enough to talk about them when other people want to put their heads in the sand.”
- House Minority Leader, Vincent Candelora

Advocating for Affordability

As the co-owner of Brother Mike’s Restaurant in Madison, Lisa understands the financial challenges small business owners, families, and residents face every day in Connecticut.

Being a business owner has granted her the necessary experience to develop and balance a sustainable budget which she hopes to bring to Hartford as State Representative.

Specifically, Lisa is committed to supporting immediate sales and income tax relief, the development of a state child tax deduction, and a reduction of small business filing fees to help facilitate economic development.

Putting Public Safety First

As a mother who lost her son to a fentanyl overdose in 2018, Lisa has proven her passion for public safety through her involvement in founding demandZERO, a non-profit with a
mission to provide resources for law enforcement to help combat drug trafficking and provide education and awareness programs for affected residents.

Additionally, Lisa recognizes the recent rise in property theft, violent crime, and traffic deaths throughout our state. Her plan for Hartford is to invest in police recruitment, revise the Police Accountability bill, and educate our youth on the dangers of intoxicated and distracted driving.

A Proven Leader in Her Community

Apart from her work as founder of demandZERO, Lisa has been a longtime local volunteer for Meals on Wheels, Madison Show Houses, public school events, and as a parent manager of her son's hockey teams. In 2023, Lisa was awarded the "Hero Volunteer Award" by the Madison Foundation for her commitment to serving her community locally and nationally with demandZERO.

Lisa looks forward to bringing her passion for upholding local values at the state level, ensuring that the concerns of her local friends and neighbors are always heard in Hartford.
